The Netherwood Hotel has been offering luxury accommodation on the edge of the Lake District since 1935. Originally a country house belonging to a wealthy cotton merchant, the hotel was bought by the Fallowfield family in 1965, and to this day, you can be assured of a warm family welcome whenever you visit us.

We have extensive experience in hosting weddings, parties and business events, with every detail personally supervised by the Fallowfield family. We have a long and renowned tradition for friendly personal service and attention to detail that applies throughout all aspects of the hotel. The key is friendliness without deference! We want to help you enjoy yourself and make you feel at home.

With colourful gardens overlooking the vast sands of Morecambe Bay, Netherwood makes the perfect wedding venue or romantic getaway. Spend a Summer evening on the terrace, or visit us in Winter to enjoy cosy rooms with roaring log fires.

Families are welcome, as are well behaved dogs, and the facilities of the Spa and Fitness Centre will also be at your disposal as a resident. In addition, we are open to non-residents for lunches, dinner or simply drinks on the terrace.
