A Perfect wedding venue, offering garden ceremonies
and dream wedding days overlooking Morecambe Bay
However you dream of your wedding day, a simple ceremony just for you, or a larger event with your nearest and dearest we can create the most perfect day for you. We are licensed for Civil Ceremonies and can offer a choice of five beautiful and unique rooms for your ceremony wether you have two guests or one hundred.
Venue Information
The Deakin Suite
For up to 120 guests. A bright and airy room with breath-taking views across our superb gardens and the Morecambe Bay estuary. Your ceremony would take place in the spectacular window area with polished marble floor. Our main wedding breakfast room.
The Residents Lounge
For up to 30 guests. A cosy room with oak panelled walls and original fireplace. Your ceremony can take place in the beautiful stained glass bay window.
The Library
For up to 20 guests. A beautiful room offering a more intimate setting for smaller ceremonies. Despite its small size, it still retains the grandeur and period charm which characterises the Netherwood.
Venue Information
The Ballroom and Terrace Bar Lounge
For up to 120 guests. A magnificent oak-panelled ball room with an adjoining bar lounge attached. Your ceremony would take place in front of the imposing original carved stone fireplace, which dates back to 1893.
Although we hold a civil licence, you will still need to book and pay the registrar direct. We are within the area covered by the Kendal Registry Office.
